Logistics Management
The Logistics Management team of Facilities Management Division (FMD) is a group of professional individuals dedicated to taking care of your needs from job one to job done.
Logistics Management is responsible for a fleet of approximately 110 vehicles with scheduled maintenance and repairs performed in our own automotive shop. The on-site fuel distribution of gas and diesel for the fleet is managed by Stores and is available to all campus departments upon request. This unit also provides purchasing support to all FMD sections. For example, Technical Design Services specifies the items to be ordered for classrooms or offices. FMD Procurement orders the new goods; Materials Handling delivers the items, removes the old items, and transfers the surplus equipment to an off site auction facility for sales to the public.
Logistics Management consists of five main units: Materials Handling, Stores, FMD Procurement, Tool Crib, and Vehicle Fleet/Garage.
